Her crew competes in the competitions to gain experience and protect the public from an alleged impending threat. Sometimes they come in to disperse any bad forces they may be sensing. Athena made the choice to take part after being persuaded by a psychic impression that Rugal Bernstein was still alive. She made up her decision to again hinder his plans. Chin became disturbed by the atmosphere during the 1996 competition and didn't want his kids to be a part of it. They surprise him by increasing their excitement for the occasion and walking in. Despite their strength, they fell to Team Japan in the semifinals.Athena made her idol debut at this competition. She therefore included her house stage in her live tour, which included promotional material and supporters.The next year, when they get a deluge of passionate fan letters, their tournament success is demonstrated. The fame and prominence of Athena in particular increased. Chin, however, declines their request to compete in King of Fighters because he doesn't want his pupils to lose sight of the reason for their training. Athena wants him to reconsider, so she gives him a motivational letter from Kaoru Watabe. The letter's contents support her claim that publicizing them causes individuals to act better, which is essentially another means of rescuing people. He permits his students to reenter after determining that they are doing better. She informs Hinako that she will not be participating in this year's KOF competition with Kensou or Chin since Kensou, Bao, and Chin embarked on a year-long training assignment to perfect Kensou's erratic "Dragon's Spirit." She wanted to form a team this year with Hinako as her partner in order to compete in the event, which was her yearly fix. A spunky-looking girl called Malin came in front of them as they were choosing their team's final member. She convinces Athena and Hinako that she is worth working with by deftly stealing the ribbons from their hair and leaving a calling card wrapped around Hinako's ribbon, despite the fact that they had hardly even met. The three form the "High School Girls Team" after realizing her abilities. Due to Athena being late for her huge concert, Hinako and Malin put on a small performance in their Team epilogue.Athena meets up with Kensou, who has spent a year practicing, and Momoko, an adept psychic fan, just before the eleventh competition.new age saga A guy by the name of Kukri, whose infatuation with women led to the creation of a pocket dimension where female fighters must contend with other female fighters, band together, and live in his universe months before the events of the fifteenth tournament. The majority of the female combatants, including Athena, are carried by Kukri to this pocket realm, where they all at once lose consciousness. When they awaken, they discover themselves in an odd house with a group of male combatants who have been transformed into women. The mastermind, Kukri, confronts the combatants as they try to fight their way out and explains that he has imprisoned them in his castle in a pocket universe; in order to escape, they must defeat him.The pocket realm disintegrated as Kukri was vanquished, returning everyone back via their dreams. After having a nightmare in which people disapprove of her music, Athena reawakens to the real world. She goes backstage during one of her performances.new age saga [current] After six years, Athena joins forces with Mai Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki, the other two women also quitting their separate teams, and she departs the Psycho Soldier Team.
